Twinkle twinkle little star.........

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.



I still remember, my mom making me read many such poems and songs, sitting by my side reading and asking me to repeat. The way she made sure that i have not only read but understood each and every word, sweet...... sweet not because i learnt it or understood or remember it till now, Sweet that she has to take all the pain to make me understand all the words.


Well.. Don't worry I'm not here to boost about my mom. I know most of the Moms have done jobs. KUDOS TO MOTHERS!!!


20 years ago that was the way it(studying) was done. I was just wondering, is that way still in process these days. Are the moms of the present era still doing the same. If yes, i would be the happiest of all. But do you all think I should be happy or did the moms take an easier way of educating their kids.... 

Incident 1: 


A conversation that happened between me and a mother of this generation kid after i heard the 5 yr old kid reciting and singing poems on his own. 


Me: Wow Your kid is smart. You have a done a great job in teaching him all those. That is awesome.


Mother: Thank You! But i have never sat beside him and made him learn!!!


On hearing that I was about to praise the kid's father, but something made me raise my eye brows...


" He has all those loaded in his IPAD."


I know many of u might be wondering, "whats wrong in it. Using technology to make things easier is fine. The kid has learnt the poem."


Is that the only thing necessary, did the kid understand what is he singing about, Does the kid even know that stars twinkle....


Incident 2:


There was a small party at a friends place and we had around 6-7 families gathered, I sat in the sit out place and it was kinda noisy with elderly discussions going on and jokes being cracked. In that noisy place i was somehow noticing some silence, something which was not normal at domestic parties. Neither Did it take long for me to notice that it was kids noises, I was looking for nor did i waste time before asking one of those parents about their kids and to my surprise answer was..


" They are all playing inside"


I was curious to know what were they all playing that is keeping them so quiet, and i was startled to the scene, Stood dumb for around 30 seconds before someone called my name.


There were around 9 kids between ages 4 - 10 and no kid was even bothered about what other is doing. Heads down every kid has something in their hand, which they were all, more that what i call busy looking into. 


I have heard people calling it "I-PHONE. "


I just tried to go back to my brain's archive and check what did i used to when i was their age. With around 4-5 kids around and in a party, sitting was never part of our course work. 


Something else dissapointed me more that everything that day, Their parents praising their kids talent in using those devices.


Is this all happening for a good cause. I don't feel so. 


I don't know how many of you agree with me. I have just expressed my opinion. If there is something you want me to learn. Please educate me. 


Lastly i want ask everyone a small question. 


Should there be an AGE-LIMIT to use those devices, like facebook has. 


Think about it people.

Know me

At last got some time to express myself. I have been wanting to do this from almost 3 years but could not just make it happen for some reasons which are not important now.

By the way, I am Satyaveer. I know.... I know your problem... u can call me "veer". One of the important things that i have learnt after reaching US is that people here like shorter names. "Well When your in Rome .. be a Roman"

The reason why I'm here ... Everyone faces different kinds of situations... small and big.... Big situations and lessons learnt from them are remembered by almost everyone, what about the small incidents which have become a part of our daily routine. How many of us remember the things we learnt from them. I don't know about others, but i have decided to remember. Not only remember but share.

Well that is the part of the introduction. I will start posting soon.
